The Trade: Links We Like
Posted on 23 July 2009
Things that caught our eyes this morning:
- Nate Silver of FiveThirtyEight.com Fame is trying to teach climate change skeptics who use local weather observations (e.g. “sure been a cold summer, global warming is bunk”) a lesson in statistics with his wager challenge.
- Super-material to watch: Graphene.
- At the request of Republican Senators Saxby Chambliss (GA) and Mike Johanns (NE) the USDA nets the impact of cap & trade on the argiculture sector and claims offset payments make farmers winners, despite higher operating costs. The Heritage Foundation, among many other conservative groups, has been calling cap & tade a “permanent drought” for US agriculture.
- FSLR up 3.5% in early trading. More news of subsidized demand – now in France.
